Roger Winkler est mon ami. Depuis longtemps il me raconte des histoires et je l'écoute. Roger a passé cinq ans de sa vie dans le grand Nord. Pendant une bonne partie de cette période, il a habité à Arctic Bay. Une de ces histoires qu'il m'a raconté est celle d'un nid glacée.

Un jour avec son ami Noah, Roger part en expédition. Ils se retrouvent alors au sommet d'une petite montagne, à son sommet, un nid complètement glacé, les œufs qui s'y retrouvent sont congelés. Roger pense alors que jamais ces œufs vont éclorent. Pourtant au printemps suivant, les deux amis retournent au même endroit et retrouvent des petits bébés corbeaux (Tulugaak) qui survivront.

Cette histoire est incroyable. C'est un histoire de résilience, La vie a un potentiel, en soi, infini de possibilités. Honorons là, et rendons lui grâce.

Roger Winkler is my friend. For a long time he has been telling me stories and I listen to him. Roger spent five years of his life in the Far North. For much of this period he resided in Arctic Bay.

One of the stories he told me was about an icy nest. One day, Roger and his friend Noah set off on an expedition. They then find themselves at the top of a small mountain, at its summit, a completely frozen nest, the eggs inside are frozen. Roger then thinks that these eggs will never hatch. However, the following spring, the two friends returned to the same place and found small baby crows (Tulugaak) which survived.

This story is incredible. It's a story of resilience; Life has a potential, within itself, infinite possibilities. Let us honor her and give thanks to her.
